'CSI: Miami' Premieres Tonight
This is it. The highly anticipated season 7 premiere of CSI: Miami is on tonight at 10pm on CBS. By now, a lot of details have surfaced about “Resurrection,” the title of the first among the CSI franchise to air this fall. According to the official details from CBS, the episode will see how the CSI team will “stop at nothing to find who shot Horatio Caine and the evidence leads them to some of the most dangerous people in Miami, including one of their own.”
Last season, of course, ended with a very distressing image of Horatio (David Caruso) left for dead on an airport tarmac, dead and drowning in his own blood, it seems. Most reviews play with the will-he-survive-or-not question, but Caruso himself has admitted that he does, and the fact that his sunglasses broke is not symbolic at all.
There are conflicting reports on whether Megalyn Echikunwoke, the new medical examiner Dr. Tara Price, will be joining CSI: Miami tonight or on its second episode (although a lot of Miami fans still can't get over the loss of Alexx Woods, who had been in the team since 2002). What's certain, though, is the return of Johnny Whitworth as Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter) unstable boyfriend, Sofia Milos as Detective Yelina Salas, and Elizabeth Berkley as Horatio's ex, Julia, whom nobody doesn't seem to like. Kim Coates will be also guest-star in the Miami premiere, as Ron Saris, one of the main suspects in shooting Horatio.
Regarding Echikunwoke, whose most notable work includes another CBS series The 4400 and Supernatural, she was first cast in a recurring capacity but was soon promoted to series regular. Her character Price will instantly make a good impression with Horatio and the rest of the team. If this is true, she will probably appear in the second episode since Horatio's pretty much out of commission in tonight's episode.
Catch the season premiere of CSI: Miami tonight at 10pm.
