Khandi Alexander Set to Return on 'CSI: Miami' Plus Preview of Tonight's Episode
Medical examiner Alexx Woods will always be remembered as the “mother” figure on the CSI: Miami team. As a very emotional person, she has shown great concern for the forensic team whenever one of them is injured and has often talked to the dead bodies in a comforting and caring tone as she examines them. In season 6, however, her son was named the prime suspect in a murder case, causing Alexx to rethink her job and her place on the team as well as her friendship with the other CSIs. Consequently, she quit but Horatio responded by saying that should she wish to return, her post would be open for her.
Staying true to his word, Horatio, as well as the rest of the CSI team, will soon welcome the return of Alexx Woods. According to TV Guide, her portrayer Khandi Alexander, who was an original Miami cast member until her surprising exit last season, will appear on the show in 2009. However, the 51-year-old actress has been booked for just one episode so far, which is expected to air during the March sweeps ratings period.
