BuddyTV Fall 2008 Preview: CSI: NY
For exclusive on-set videos and hot features on the new TV season, check out BuddyTV's Fall 2008 Preview.
Network: CBS
Premiere: Wednesday, September 24, 10pm
Cast: Gary Sinise, Melina Kanakaredes, Carmine Giovinazzo, Anna Belknap, Hill Harper, A.J. Buckley, Eddie Cahill, Robert Joy, Emmanuelle Vaugier
Previously on CSI: NY: After finally capturing the Taxi Cab Killer, Mac (Gary Sinise) was sent to deal with a bank robber who demanded help from one of the CSIs. The robber claimed to be innocent, but he was actually plotting to take Mac hostage.
Like many other TV shows in recent years, CSI: NY ended its latest season with a jaw-dropper of a cliffhanger. Mac (Gary Sinise) was sent into a bank to deal with a robber, who claimed that he wasn't the culprit and that his wife and daughter were being held hostage by a psychopath. After helping the man escape, Mac learned that the man was lying and had planned to abduct him all along. As the new season premieres September 24 on CBS, CSI: NY fans will finally be able to see how the team helps Mac escape his hostage crisis -- if he escapes at all.
With an enigmatic killer on the loose on the New York City streets and their leader wrapped up in it all, it'll be up to Stella (Melina Kanakaredes), Danny (Carmine Giovinazzo), Sheldon (Hill Harper), and the rest of the CSI: NY crew to follow the clues and save the day. We'll also be introduced to a new character: Don Flack's (Eddie Cahill) sister Melanie, who is somehow involved in solving the case.
Of course, that's only the beginning. It will soon be back to business as usual as the team takes on bigger and wilder challenges that only their expert crime scene investigating skills can solve. Relationships will grow and change, and as the murders in the city pile up every member of the CSI: NY team will be tested to their limits.
