Reality Celebrity to Appear on 'CSI: NY'
We recently reported that American Idol alum Chris Daughtry, who was one of the finalists in the reality competition’s fifth season, will be appearing on CSI: NY’s November 19 episode. In fact, Daughtry isn’t the only star to guest on this season of the CBS drama. We also reported that rapper Nelly, actor Scott Wolf, former NFL star Marshall Faulk, actress Julia Ormond and celebrity Rumer Willis are also among those who will be part of CSI: NY this season.
Another name to add to the list is Laguna Beach reality star Kristin Cavallari, who is set to appear in CSI: NY’s December 17 episode. The show’s executive producer told Access Hollywood that Cavallari will be playing an up-and-coming handbag designer who gets thrown into one of their investigations.
“We wanted a fresh face. Someone young, attractive, hip. And because the episode is set in the fashion world, we thought who is a bigger trendsetter than Kristin?” executive producer Peter Lenkov told Access. “My tween daughters talk about her all the time. I finally stood up, took notice and jumped on the Kristin bandwagon.”
This isn’t the first crossover for Cavallari, as she also previously appeared on the CW’s Veronica Mars and CBS’ Cane. Her arch nemesis and Laguna Beach co-star Lauren Conrad, on the other hand, has also appeared in ABC Family’s Greek.
As for the 21-year-old Cavallari, fans will have to watch out for her CSI: NY episode to find out if she finds herself as an innocent victim or a scheming criminal. Lenkov was tight-lipped and said, “Watch the show… you’ll find out!”
Meanwhile, catch CSI: NY tonight as the team investigates the murder of a so-called corporate fixer who cleaned up some dirty situations. The investigation opens their eyes to a world of political corruption and deceit. CSI: NY returns with “Sex, Lies and Silicone” tonight at 10pm on CBS.
