CSI Miami: "Gone Baby Gone" Spoilers
On tonight's episode of CSI: Miami, David Caruso and the gang struggle to rescue a kidnapped baby before it's too late – and the murderer decides to make her his next victim. “Gone Baby Gone” looks like a terribly dramatic episode, especially for moms who are fans of the series.
From the preview clip, it looks like the mother of the child is torn between paying ransom or not. As Calleigh points out, when they pay ransom, the kidnappers will have no reason to keep Sophie (that's the baby) alive.
Spoilers below.
According to some sources from CSI Files, “Gone Baby Gone” begins in a posh mall where a woman, Jill Walsh (played by guest star Teri Polo), is seen trying to shush and pacify a crying baby. All the crying starts to attract attention, and people begin looking their way. Out comes a couple who runs after her and claims that she stole the baby. As the two women fight over the child, a bouncer from a nearby café enters the picture and restrains Jill, while the couple scurries away with baby Sophie.
Quite predictably, it turns out that Jill is the real mother and the people who accused her of trying to steal the baby are the real kidnappers. Now an FBI agent calls the CSI team to the scene and tells them some not-so-pleasant news: they have around four hours to find the baby or they won't find her at all.
The FBI soon sets up equipment in the Walsh home, while the CSI team tries to explain things to Sophie's distraught parents. As soon as the phone rings, everybody freezes, since they'd be able to at least track the caller. A demand for $500,000 is made. Unfortunately, the phone call was too brief to trace. Their next lead comes in the form of Sophie's clothes, which the kidnappers left somewhere revealing that they changed her clothes. While they get a hit when they run a DNA test on the overalls, it doesn't prove to be much help when they find the source.
Find out why on tonight's CSI: Miami at 10pm on CBS.
