{name:Marlene Jackson#|#picture:0}What was today? Oh, one of the worst days ever thought Marlene Jackson as she cut another slice of clear jello with the dagger that had been covered in blood in one of the Graveyard Shift's CSI's cases. She didn't remember who's case it was anymore. She had seen so many people run in and out of her lab she hadn't seen who had left the dagger with the note saying to cut a few jello samples and to compare them to the wound imprint they had which was still in it's bag, seal unopened. "Of course, you chose this Marlene," the young Asian American chided herself in her mother's tone of voice as she kept cutting. She blew a piece of her black hair out of her face. It was true. Marlene had chose this, but she loved it. Cases were puzzles that she was allowed to help put together in whatever way she could. Of course, Marlene would love to one day work in the field, but she wouldn't now. She hadn't enough experience as a lab tech, plus her mind was pretty full anyway.
After getting the jello slices done, Marlene mixed up some of the rubber cement-like substance and placed it on all of the slices. She waited for them to dry and while she did, she did a few other of her tasks that she was supposed to do before she pulled off the dark grey rubber and placed it onto a microscope. She then broke the seal of the other bag and placed it on the other microscope. She made it so both of them were lined up and saw that it was no match. She sighed, knowing the CSI would be upset. She looked at the initials on the bag and paged them. After paging, Marlene grabbed a shoe print mold and looked at the sixteen sneakers in front of her. Tonight was going to be an even longer night than she thought was possible. Marlene wasn't going to enjoy this, well, she would, if she wasn't so alone. She glanced at the stereo in the corner and contemplated using it, but resisted since she knew Grissom hated hearing music being blared.
